This was a personal project born from my curiosity as both an artist and a plant enthusiast. I wanted to see if I could build a completely isolated greenhouse inside a terrarium orb—something that could breathe, recycle, and sustain itself without the outside world.
What began with trial-and-error—killing far too many plants—turned into a year of experimenting with moss, humidity, airflow, and even water-wicking “legs” inspired by insects and the resurrection plant. After many failures, I finally reached a balance: mosses thriving in low light, a working circulation system, and even an unexpected fruit fly colony that found a home inside.
In the end, I created a miniature, self-contained ecosystem—a small universe that lives and evolves on its own.
